What’s Included in Your Trip

When you book with Epic Charters Unlimited, we provide a professional setup so you can focus on the rod. Our goal is to make your Port Isabel fishing charter as seamless as possible.

Top-Tier Gear: We provide all high-quality rods, reels, and terminal tackle.
Fresh Bait & Ice: All the bait needed for your target species is included, along with plenty of ice to keep your catch fresh.
Expert Crew: You’ll be guided by Captain Roy Songy and a professional First Mate. We handle the rigging, baiting, and fish handling.
The Vessel: Access to our stable 33' WorldCat, equipped with a private bathroom, sink, and safety gear like an EPIRB and life vests.
Refreshments: Bottled water is provided free of charge.
Fish Storage: We provide on-boat storage for your catch during the duration of the trip.

What to Bring

To ensure you have the best experience on the Texas Gulf of Mexico, please come prepared with the following items:

Texas Fishing License: Required for all anglers aged 17 and older. You can purchase these online through Texas Parks and Wildlife.
Sun Protection: Please bring polarized sunglasses, a hat, and non-spray sunblock. (Spray sunblock makes the boat deck dangerously slick).
Appropriate Footwear: Wear soft-soled, non-marking shoes (like deck shoes or sneakers) to protect the boat and your feet.
Food and Snacks: While we provide water, please bring your own meals and snacks. Small coolers are welcome for your personal food.
Clothing: Dress in layers. Even in the summer, early mornings on the water can be cool.
Motion Sickness Medication: If you are prone to seasickness, we recommend taking medication according to the package directions before we leave the dock.
A Take-Home Cooler: Leave this in your vehicle! You’ll need a cooler to transport your fresh fillets home after we return to the dock.

Important Reminders:

No Bananas: It’s an old fishing tradition—please do not bring bananas on board!
Alcohol: Permitted in moderation (no glass containers or red wine, please).
Gratuity: It is customary to tip the First Mate 15%–20% at the end of the day for their hard work in making your trip successful.

DEPOSIT: A deposit is required for all bookings and will be applied at checkout

BALANCE: The remaining balance is due on the trip date as either Credit or Cash.

GUEST CANCELLATION: In the event that you must cancel your booking, you must do so 7 days prior to your trip date to receive a refund on your deposit. Rescheduling is encouraged and dependent on guide availability.

GUIDE CANCELLATION: In the rare event that your guide must cancel due to inclement weather, health, or equipment issues, you will have the option to reschedule your charter for a later date or receive a refund on your deposit.
